STEGI.RADIO Takeover 2025: Shaping the Future Sound of Contemporary Music

For two unforgettable days, the Onassis Stegi became the epicenter of contemporary electronic music, as STEGI.RADIO Takeover 2025 turned the spotlight on the sounds and ideas shaping the future of music. More than 30 pioneering artists from across the globe shared the stage, forging new creative dialogues between the local scene and the international music landscape.

From the iconic performances of Kittin and Robert Hood to the boundary-pushing, genre-defying set of Deena Abdelwahed, the festival delivered a bold and uncompromising vision of today’s sonic experimentation. Live sets expanded the possibilities of electronic music, seamlessly blending elements of club culture, sound art, and critical reflection.

A defining moment of the event was the curated listening session and discussion led by sound theorist Stoffel Debuyssere, organized in collaboration with the TMLAB Project, co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union. This session explored the sociopolitical dimensions of sonic practices, sparking dialogue around the role of listening as a critical and political act.

More than just a festival, STEGI.RADIO Takeover 2025 was a cultural statement—a celebration of innovation, experimentation, and the transformative power of collaboration. With the support of TMLAB, which amplifies emerging voices and promotes critical sonic practices, the event continues to challenge and redefine the very concept of what a contemporary music festival can be.
