Mireya Larriba

Mireya Larriba (San Sebastián, 2000) is a rising cultural curator and creator whose work explores the intersections of humor, pop culture, and multidisciplinary artistic practices. A graduate of Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, she began developing her distinctive artistic voice under the alter ego Tomasa Crucero, blending playful irreverence with critical cultural commentary.

Her curatorial journey started with the organization of her graduating cohort’s end-of-degree exhibition, marking the beginning of her professional path in cultural management. Driven by a passion for collaboration and innovative cultural production, she pursued a Master’s Degree in Cultural Management at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, further refining her curatorial vision.

As the winner of the Puwerty 2025 Curatorial Call, Mireya brings forward a program that reflects the sensibilities of a generation shaped by digital culture yet deeply engaged with manual processes and formal experimentation. Her curatorial approach embraces a wide range of tools and disciplines, moving beyond traditional definitions of art to explore new formats and narratives.
