Open call for curators – Announcement: Electrónica en Abril 2026

An opportunity for emerging curators and independent collectives to programme two nights within Electrónica en Abril 2026, as part of the European TMLAB project.

La Casa Encendida presents the first open call for curators for Electrónica en el Club 2026, with the aim of incorporating programmers who are typically underrepresented, fostering innovative proposals, and opening new avenues within contemporary electronic music and the club scene, extending them across different venues throughout the city of Madrid. For the first time, the Electrónica en Abril Festival includes a programme specifically geared towards the dance floor, bringing its most innovative and experimental expressions into the club context.

One of the main objectives of the call is to support the training and development of individuals interested in music programming, offering a practical learning space in curating and cultural production through proposal development, artist collaboration, artistic production, and audience-engagement strategies. The selected proposal will therefore be developed under the mentorship of the La Casa Encendida and Electrónica en Abril Festival teams.

The call for applications arises within the framework of the TMLAB project, a European platform that supports and promotes emerging artists from underrepresented communities across Europe. Present in cities such as Athens, Turin, Madrid, Lyon, and Brussels, TMLAB focuses on providing opportunities for artists and curators from diverse backgrounds to advance their careers. The project promotes the recovery of narratives and the questioning of historical structures within the music industry. Through live events, tours, and radio programmes, TMLAB showcases the constantly evolving European music scene while addressing existing inequalities within the musical landscape. Its main partners include Stegi Radio (Greece), the C2C Festival (Italy), Kiosk Radio (Belgium), Arty Farty (France), and La Casa Encendida (Spain).
