Laura Vargas

Laura Vargas is a multidisciplinary artist from Colombia, who lives in Berlin.

Her sets and sound interventions explore a range of rhythms from Abya Yala (as the American continent is called by some indigenous people and translated as “mature land”). Her musical choices span from club music and expressions of resistance to old classics, nostalgia, and romance. Her ongoing research aims to touch on issues of diaspora and identity, deconstructing existing narratives and creating new ones.
