Influenced by Brazil’s funk old-school dance scene, MCs such as Primo and Barriga, the Brazilian funk idiom proibidão, as well as important domestic rappers such as Ndee Naldinho, 509-E and Racionais MC’s, RHR (aka Roniere Santos) reproduces with his music the memories of the favelas in which he grew up. Its sound is its attitude.
