Apu Nanu

Apu Nanu is a sound artist, producer and storyteller@ based in Athens, who draws inspiration from post-internet aesthetics, microtonality, neoclassical themes and the nostalgia of video games, combining these influences with playful MIDI manipulation and collage-style sound design. She has been trained in both Eastern and Western musical traditions, plays many musical instruments, and explores new approaches to digital composition.

His first EP, entitled “The Untold Saga”, was released in 2024 by the Polish record label BFF Music and is a cinematic soundtrack for a fantasy game world. He has collaborated with artists such as Galen Tipton, Julek Ploski and Oliver Torr, while his music has been used in choreographies by Zoi Tatopoulos and in campaigns for brands such as Valentino. His work also includes compositions for performance and art installations that have been presented in venues such as the Benaki Museum and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie.

After its first release, it began to appear on stages throughout Europe, in cities such as London, Berlin, Milan, Prague and Brussels.

His latest EP, titled “I’ve Been Having Strange Dreams”, is a collection of personal, surreal compositions and was released in 2025 by New York-based record label Unseelie.
