Bint Mbareh

The Palestinian artist Bint Mbareh constructs narratives that are both a celebration and an act of resistance, blending electronic rhythms with sounds and memories from the Arab world.

In her most recent work, Bint Mbareh explores the relationship between water, the body and collective memory, understanding sound as a living archive interwoven with stories of displacement, territory and identity. Part of this research has been presented alongside TBA21 at venues such as the Tate Modern, Cafe OTO and the Unsound Festival. She has also shared the bill with artists such as Clairo, Mustapha the Poet, Mos Def, Nicolas Jaar and Alabaster Deplume.
