Sonia M. Garcia – acideyes

acideyes is a dj and journalist of Quechua descent, born and raised in central Italy and based in Milan. She is the founder of SAYRI, an artistic platform and event series co-run with DJ Amazon and Crltxxx. Since 2020, SAYRI centers artists from Abya Yala and its diaspora, with a focus on dissident identities. Both in writing and music, acideyes explores themes of belonging, territorial memory and temporality; her dj sets weave in elements of Andean popular music and contemporary sounds of South American experimental electronics.
