Open call for curators – Results: Woodblocks Festival 2025

Following the TMLAB open call for emerging curators, we are excited to introduce Nola N’Guessan as the selected curator representing Kiosk Radio for Woodblock Festival 2025.

Based in Brussels, Nola brings a strong background in collective organising and a rapidly growing solo curatorial practice. Her work spans club nights, performances, and talks, always centering values of community, care, and experimentation. She is known for her thoughtful and bold programming that uplifts underrepresented voices and reimagines cultural institutions from the ground up.

Over the years, Nola has curated events at renowned venues such as Beursschouwburg and Ancienne Belgique, including the multidisciplinary series Echo Tree, the femme- and queer-focused Outrageous Without Warning, and the open-air community gathering Out Loud x Fatsabbats. She has also played a central role in collectives like Fatsabbats and Café Congo, known for their vibrant intersectional approaches to music and culture.

Looking ahead, Nola’s curatorial direction focuses on supporting emerging electronic artists and experimenting with new, inclusive curatorial structures. For Woodblocks Festival 2025, she envisions an opening night that resonates with both sonic innovation and social consciousness—amplifying sounds and stories that are too often marginalised.
